Julian Blake

I like being an artist. I make videos, paintings and photographs. I am interested in animation, and like making work about shadows, reflections and also fairgrounds. I would like to like to make a film about the St. Giles fair in Oxford, which happens every year in September. I like the lights and shadows at the fair, and would like to make the film using more of my own photographs. I like to see the prizes on the stalls, and like winning them. I like watching the scary rides, but don't like going on them. They make me feel car sick!

I like exhibiting my work, so that people can see it, which they enjoy. I also like to talk about my films when I show them.

Here is some of my work.

Here is my latest film, Shadows and Reflections.

Here is animation I made about Abingdon fair.

Here are some of my pictures. Some are drawings and some are digital paintings.

Here is the film 'Hidden Shadows', which I made with Lucy Skuce, Russell Highsmith and Danny Smith. Making this film made me think about light.

This is the film from the Flash Frame animation workshop. 15 people worked on these these animations.

This film is from the Flash Frame art history workshop. I am talking about artwork that I like.
