The Shadowlight Artists are an independent group of multimedia artists with learning disabilities based in Oxfordshire. The group are being supported by OFVM film oxford.
NEWS January 2012
The Shadowlight Artists have recently secured new funding from the Arts Council of England for another 18 months (to December 2012). The funding will be for 8 new pieces of work which will be displayed during a public exhibition in Autumn 2012. The group will also be supported to have regular meeting so they can develop their group on into the future.
Danny Smith (Dann'ys Flashback) and Mark Barber (Streetwise) were selected to show films in the main programme at the prestigious national OSKAR BRIGHT FILM FESTIVAL (Brighton, in November 2011). Danny Smith came in the top three of the competition and is nominated for Best Film in the Festival. In addition Richard Hunt and Julian Blake, along with another film of Danny's will be shown at the OsKar Bright Awards Party.
In Addition Julian Blakes (Fairground) won a prize in the Mencap’s Snap! 2011 photo and film competition, along with two other films supported by Film Oxford (OFVM).
